Sowers of Justice Network, Interfaith Paths to Peace, and others invite you to participate in an interfaith Walking Prayer Vigi
l seeking racial justice for our city. We will offer prayers for the recent victims of violence including Breonna Taylor, Kenneth Walker, David McAtee, Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and their families, and seek a re-dedication of our faith values to work for a more just society.
The vigil will take place at 3 pm at Central Park, meeting at the corner of West Magnolia and 4th Street.
Please practice appropriate social distancing and wear a mask as way of caring for others.
We will begin with a silent walk around the park to be mindful of the cries of victims and those who have been silenced and to hear again God’s prophetic call to justice. In the park amphitheater,
prayers from many faiths will be offered.
